Service Desk Support Engineer

Position description

As a Service Desk Support Engineer, you will provide first line IT support to all our internal national and internal customers. You will be the first point of contact for all IT related questions. As well as being responsible for the planning, organizing and communicating about the individual solution. Support varies from user questions, granting access rights, installing software and hardware. Ensuring users have working workstations with the required access needed for their role. Our IT environment is strongly Microsoft oriented. And you will either solve questions yourself or utilizing our second-third lines support organization.

Duties

You will, amongst others:

Provide first-line IT Support;

Act as the global first point of contact for all IT related inquiries;

Provide (new) employees with workstations, granting the required access rights and

installing software and hardware needed for their role;

Prioritize, solve or send out issues in a very structured way;

Be actively involved in projects; for example infrastructure related activities.

Required skills and experience

For this position, we are looking for someone who is:

Independent and flexible work attitude, ready to adapt to international practices;

Ready to adapt to working in shifts

Strong social skills;

Feels comfortable in a demanding, analytical role and is required to maintain contact with a large number of (internal) stakeholders;

Stress-resistant, able to and enjoys working in a high-pressure environment;

Outgoing and communicative with a good feel for cultural differences;

Hands on, Service-oriented, responsible, accurate and reliable;

Is able to analyse and continuously improve the way we work.

We require:

HBO level (education or experience) in the area of information technology with internship experience on a IT department;

Familiar with applying ITIL procedures;

Basic knowledge of Client Windows OS (current release of Microsoft client: W10);

Familiar with user related settings within Active directory, MS Office;

Experience with printer management;

Basic knowledge of SCCM, VMWare and Citrix is considered a pre;
